Volkswagen Evolution commissioned Wishbone Media to design a logo for their new classic Volkswagen camper hire company – hiring out Bay Window and Split Screen camper vans for fun and games. The idea was intended to be used also for their currently running VW restoration company, obviously altered to set them apart sufficiently.

Following an initial briefing and fact finding mission, a number of preliminary ideas were looked over. Eventually an idea was chosen for finalising and delivery, packaged as a complete set of file types for both web and print applications, and with a full brand usage guidelines document.

Rambert web design

Wishbone Media were commissioned to redesign the website for the world-famous and widely respected Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance.

Portfolio Pack

Following the logo redesign, Cluemaster approached Wishbone Media again to produce a media pack for them to show all prospective clients.

They requested that their full portfolio of products, corporate information, and contact info be included, and that Wishbone Media be on hand to provide updates when needed.
As this media pack was to be output and delivered in PDF form, keeping file size to a minimum was important.

Party flyers

Yup, we occasionally get asked to do the smaller jobs too. This was a party flyer requested to be delivered in a retro style, harking back to days of yore.
The use of the now hugely utilised in the smartphone industry, ‘QR’ code, gave a link to an online map so that recipients who scanned it with their phone could instantly know exactly where the party was, what to bring, and when show up.

HTA News redesign

The Horticultural Trades Association magazine was in need of a complete redesign to freshen up the slightly stale and aging look.

Certainly a more contemporary approach was needed with the design, though being a trade magazine, it didn’t want to end up looking too ‘newsstandy’.

Classics Monthly

The role of art editor of Classics Monthly involved the direction and management of all art and graphic design elements. Originally an acquisition from another publishing company, the magazine required extensive re-design and re-focus to maximise its positioning within the competitive classic car market. Day-to-day requirements involved art staff management, page design, cover conceptualisation and production, feature planning, photography commissioning, photoshoot direction and cover image retouching.

GameCube Guide

An illustration commissioned by Future Publishing featuring the Nintendo GameCube console and required for the cover of a magazine covermount. The Gamecube was not available at the time, so the machine needed to be mocked-up and placed within the render image.

We were asked to design a supplement promoting the then newly released Nintendo DS handheld console and its key launch titles, produced for the hardware’s manufacturer, Nintendo.

Graphical elements and cues were taken from the Nintendo DS’s launch package so as to maintain continuity and brand image strength.

Sudoku iPad app

International puzzle company Crosswords Ltd wanted to redevelop and create a new design for its current iPhone app while also launching a new app onto iPad.

A complete app rebranding and all new design was carried out, as well as adjustment to overall navigation and function (GUI), and the addition of a number of new features, including a head to head game mode.
In this instance, only the visual appearance of the app was created by Wishbone Media. Technical implication of this was undertaken by Crosswords’ own tech department. This said, Wishbone Media can design and create your app all the way from concept, through coding stage, to submission to the App Store and beyond into further updates, if you so wish.
